Principal
Mr. Sante Iacovelli is in his 31st year as an educator and his first* year as the principal at St. Philip the Apostle. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Political Science and English. Mr. Iacovelli received his Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Dominican University. Mr. Iacovelli began his career as a teacher of Theology at St. Benedict High School and soon after became the Dean of Students/Assistant Principal and finally the President/Principal. He left to work at a Catholic school in Skokie Called St. Peter School. Since then he has worked at all levels of education which includes 6 years of teaching and 24 years as an administrator and even a long stretch working part time as a professor at DePaul University. The past 4 years he was working at a public school in Lyons, Illinois. There he found out how sad it is not to have prayer in school as it makes a difference in teaching love, empathy, and kindness to others. At St. Philip, Mr. Iacovelli has found a place that is bar none a close knit, prayerful, kindness centered, and academically excellent institution, as any school he has worked.
