Music Teacher
Mr. Bill Wilder
Mr. Wilder serves as the Director of Music and Music Teacher at St. Philip the Apostle Church and School. His passion for liturgical music began at an early age, providing music for Masses as young as eleven. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in organ and piano from Benedictine University, and also completed graduate-level coursework at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
He is currently in his tenth year as Music Director for the parish and his second year as Music Teacher at the school. Before joining our parish, he served for seventeen years as Assistant Music Director at St. Isaac Jogues Parish in Hinsdale, and prior to that, spent ten years as Music Director at St. Louise de Marillac Parish in La Grange Park.
Throughout his many years of ministry, Mr. Wilder has remained deeply rooted in the Catholic faith and often reflects that no matter how many times one attends Mass, there is always something new to learn.
